Lessons

Learning to drive is one of the biggest steps toward independence — and it should feel calm, not stressful. At Adrian’s Driving School we’ve spent more than 23 years teaching new drivers across Westchester and Putnam County to handle the road with confidence.

In-car driving lessons

Every lesson is one-on-one, behind the wheel, in a dual-brake vehicle with a NYS DMV-licensed instructor beside you. You set the pace. Whether it’s your very first time starting the engine or you’re polishing your skills a week before the road test, we meet you where you are.

Automatic and stick shift

We teach both automatic and manual (stick shift) transmission. If you want to learn to drive stick — as a new driver or an adult who simply never had the chance — just let us know when you book and we’ll pair you with the right car and instructor.

What you’ll practice

  • Vehicle control, steering and smooth braking
  • Lane positioning, turns and intersections
  • Parallel parking and three-point turns
  • Highway merging and defensive driving habits
  • The exact maneuvers the DMV examiner grades on the road test

Who we teach

Nervous teenagers, busy adults, and everyone in between. You can begin lessons as soon as you hold a New York State learner permit. 16- and 17-year-olds also qualify for our online 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course.

Prices

A single 55–60 minute lesson is $105. Packages of 5, 6, 10 and 50 lessons include our car for your road test and cost less when you pay in full — see all lesson packages and our cancellation policy.
